What are the best Cincinnati neighborhoods for an Boston transplant?

I actually grew up in Ohio, but have gotten used to the beautiful and historic neighborhoods in Boston. I'm hoping to find a place in Cincinnati where I can get to know the city and enjoy the local culture and highlights like parks, shopping and dining, and the arts (museums!)...and I am looking for somewhere safe and aesthetically appealing. I'd love some advice!
