The American Sign Museum is one of Cincinnati's hidden museum gems. It recently moved to its new location in Camp Washington. The museum contains more than 2800 items from signs to sign-making tools and more. A visit to this museum is a nostalgic walk through American business history. Another overlooked museum is the Fire Museum of Greater Cincinnati located on West Court Street in Downtown Cincinnati. The Fire Museum celebrates the history of the country's first paid, professional fire department, which was created in Cincinnati in 1853. The exhibits cover the history of the first fire department and the many advancements in fire fighting technology over the years. These are two of the best hidden gem museums in Cincinnati.

People really should visit the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center more than they do. They are right there in between the Reds and Bengals stadiums, not hidden at all; but they are constantly struggling due to lack of enough visitors. They have wonderful exhibits and programs. They have an impressive piece of the Berlin Wall at the entrance that faces the river. You can even rent the facilities for special events. They are a great asset to the city.

The Harriet Beecher Stowe House in Walnut Hills is an historic gem that's located right on Gilbert Ave. in Walnut Hills.
