What is Cincinnati's recycling program like?

Last year the city distributed large wheeled containers to most eligible households instead of the small hand-carried bins.
There's also an incentive program for recycling in the city. People who recycle can enroll in the recyclebank.com program that gives incentives based on the amount of garbage recycled. They can earn gift certificates and more.
The City of Cincinnati has had a recycling program for more than 20 years. All single-family homes and small apartment buildings that currently receive City operated curbside trash service are eligible for curbside recycling at no additional charge. A city-wide enhanced recycling program was introduced by Mayor Mark Mallory in 2010; the new program increased recycling by 36%.
Recycling pickup occurs every other week and there are several different sized recycling bins residents can choose from. For residents living in larger apartment complexes, the City offers recycling at eight drop-off locations throughout the City. Information on the drop off locations, more information about the recycling program and the form to request a recycling bin are all easily found on the City of Cincinnati's website (http://www.cincinnati-oh.gov/recycling/index.cfm).
