The numbers are misleading though because there are so many people who are underemployed compared to jobs they had five years ago. I think most people know someone in this predicament. I take all government statistics with a grain of salt.

wow, I do not usually keep up on these details. Is Denver usually higher unemployment rate than the state overall? I guess it makes sense?

As of March of this year the unemployment rate in Denver was 7.8% and for the state it was 6.9%.

yeah probably right, good to think about. Underemployed seems more and more common these days
