Yes, different parts of the area are more at risk than others. If you are prepared then you can sleep well. North and North East winds in the height of summer are challenging particularly in the creek area which forms the "Butterfield valley" of Menzies Creek. Another area is through Avon Rd to Wrights Forest. Any NE slope is a potential risk.
