Is phebe ave and paseo padre in ardenwood safe?

I know the area you're talking about because I have a friend who grew up in that area, and I've been to her mom's house there a few times. I really have no idea what you're talking about with the not so nice house (just one house?). The houses in the Ardenwood neighborhood and on Phebe Ave. specifically are really pretty nice newer places.

It is an affordable area and has a mix of races and cultures. But in terms of crime Fremont overall is below the national average and light years below anywhere in say Oakland. Despite its 200,000 person population Fremont rarely gets more than a handful of murders (there was one year there were six but that was abnormally high). So I doubt you would be unsafe there. And if you have to commute into San Jose or up into Walnut Creek, it is a pretty good launching point. I wouldn't worry about.
