There is a lovely local bush walk at the end of Grattan Crescent. It is called the Bluff walk. It is an easy enough walk and takes you to a lookout at Bantry Bay. It's not a terribly long walk.
If you are after parks with play equipment, then the children's playground at Blackbutts oval (entry from Blackbutts Road) is great. It is also fully enclosed with a fence. This is a particularly good park with loads of choice.
If you are looking for a park where dogs can be off the lead, then head to Lionel Watts oval - there are always a heap of dogs to play with.
There are a lot of local little playgrounds scattered throughout the residential streets with the standard slide and swing type arrangement and a bench for mum/dad/grandparent to use.
