There is Always a Story Behind the Name

Golden Grove, SA 5125 is located within the Tea Tree Gully local government area, part of the Adelaide (Greater) Region in South Australia.

1. When naming roads there is always a story behind the name. With Golden Grove there is an Australian author theme; Thiele, McCullough and Blainey. Also in between John Street and Spring Hill there is a Citrus theme.

Yes this is true, but sometimes the names can refer to the history of the area. OG road for example stands for Oliver Gilles , who was a local farmer, not Old Government as commonly believed. Blair Athol was named after the farm of the same name that was where the suburb is now located.

Your right! Majors Rd O'Halloran Hill is a beauty....it's named after 'Major Thomas O'Halloran'.....the same man the suburb is named after.
