Best place to live on the Central coast?

I've been doing a lot of research on the central coast. I want to buy a house -2/3 bedroom /small with a large yard for my two Border Collies , myself and my teenage daughter who has just finished school. I dont need nightlife. I love the bush and the beach. I need to be near the train and the M1 and my budget is around $1m. Ive been considering Tascott and Point Clare, Woy Woy and then Narara and Ourimbah. Ourimbah is interesting because its so close to the M1 and has a train station? I don't have young kids but I'm not a retiree either. I come from the Northern Beaches where I now live in a two bed garden flat. I want some space. All comments welcome!
