Are there any areas in Gosnells and surrounds that are considered 'better' or 'worse'.

New houses are built replacing the older homes on larger blocks. Near major shopping centres or by the Canning River are good locations.

like most suburbs there are 'good' parts and 'bad' parts and it is always a bit subjective. I am reluctant to say certain streets as it might upset other residents and I might have old information that is no longer relevant. Nearer to the train station can sometimes have issues at night I have heard but not experienced for myself and I personally prefer not to live close to schools. I like to drive around on a Friday or Saturday night and get a feel for the street then. It is also worht looking at the streets that have better lighting at night as this will discourage some petty theft. And having a dog is a good deterrent as well. If you are considering buying then it depends on your budget. Gosnells is cheaper than Huntingdale and Thornlie. But there is probably more rentals in Gosnells which can sometimes bring the value down as they tend not to be as well looked after and so can reduce the street appeal. Blocks are for the most part bigger in Gosnells but houses are newer in certain parts of Huntingdale and Thornlie.
