What is Hallett Cove like to live in?

I agree with Lynley, it is a great place to live. It is 'family friendly' - there are some good playgrounds with well maintained amenities and plenty of open spaces including a skate park at Capella Drive. There are a range of pre-schools, primary and secondary public schools and a private primary school close by at Sheidow Park. The public transport system is good, (however there will be no trains operating for much of 2013 due to electrification of the Noarlunga Train Line). The Hallett Cove Conservation Park provides a great open space with unique geological features, board walk and other walking trails. While the beach at Hallett Cove is not great for swimming (due to the rocks) it is perfect for a stroll/wade/sit/fish/place to relax. You may also enjoy a meal/drink at The Boatshed Cafe on Heron Way with views to the sea and Conservation Park. The Marion Coastal Walking Trail is excellent with great sea/cliff views, as is the Coast to Vines Rail Trail, (a combined walking and bike trail). The Hallett Cove Shopping Centre has just about everything you could need. There is also a Tavern close by. Parts of Hallett Cove, particularly those streets in close proximity to the Lonsdale Highway, may experience traffic noise at times, However the majority of the suburb is set well back from the highway and is generally quiet. Apart from the area around the HC shopping centre and the Linwood (Boral) Quarry to the north of Hallett Cove, the suburb is primarily residential. The residents of Hallett Cove are friendly and welcoming, a great place to live and make a home!

Hallett Cove is a great place to live. It is family friendly, has a great shopping centre and a variety of primary schools as well as a senior secondary school.

It has a good public transport system, with both bus and train services and is generally a quiet area.
