The heart of the eastern Tatiara District Centres on Bordertown as the hub and radiates through a marvellous range of small townships, hamlets and districts.

Services:

Bordertown is a very progressive rural service town hosting multiple agricultural and service industries. The primary employment provider is Swift ovine meat processing plant yet there are multiple important ventures including the Blue Lake Oat Milling plant, the highly acclaimed Tatiara Truck and Trailer complex and numerous highly successful agricultural service dealership. The township is well laid out and has a high standard of residential development. There is excellent schooling, a hospital, motels, sporting facilities, a choice of banking and retail outlets.

The Land:

Much of the land is of red to dark loams of gently to flat contour. The remnant trees are pink gum, blue gum, box and buloak with strong soil types. Approximately 127 hectares of the land is relatively clear of trees and is currently dedicated to cropping.

The remainder is principally used for sheep grazing. The latter includes some 18 hectares of light sandy land which provides shelter and some winter grazing, and a further 15 hectares or thereabouts of sheltered grazing with veldt grass. A further 30 hectares or thereabouts is of stronger loams and has been sown to improved pastures including sub clover, Arrowleaf clover and grasses.

Fencing of the 7 main paddocks is a feature with most fences comprising 6- or 7-line cyclone fabric and substantially pine posts. Water is supplied from a bore equipped with a submersible pump. A pressure system supplies several paddocks and a header tank on the rising land which then supplies the remaining paddocks. In addition, there are 2 dams.

Fixed improvements:

A Blunts "Nyah" transportable four-bedroom home in a convenient and sheltered location. The home was erected on the property in the early 1980's and includes Lounge through dining area, family room, good size kitchen, laundry with an adjacent second shower, bathroom with shower bath and vanity and a separate toilet. The main bedroom includes built in robes and shelving. Outdoors the home is complemented by front and rear verandas plus a carport. A standalone garage is at the rear of the home.

There are two implement sheds being a12.2 x 9 metre steel framed shed enclosed 3 sides with part concrete flooring. The second shed is 15.3 x 11m shed with an earth floor. In addition, a grain silo plus a seed silo are included.
