Built in 1896 by William and Lucy Morris, both the main cottage and the Garden Guest Cottage (once William’s gold mining tool shed) sit together as idyllic havens. The Garden Guest Cottage has been similarly renovated and sits apart from the main house with separate access via a shared carport containing ample storage. This cosy cottage comfortably sleeps 2 people and is well-appointed for a country getaway with a kitchenette/living room and bathroom.

The cooler climate of Trentham allows a uniquely stunning selection of plants to prosper, as demonstrated by many of the traditional plants grown at Morris Cottage. Mature deciduous trees provide shade in summer over manicured lawns.

Additional features include boxed vegetable beds surrounded by a white picket fence, fruiting berries, espalier apple trees, a chook pen, and potting shed. Both cottages are fully double glazed and insulated with 14 solar panels.
