This 1840s granite building stands on the same block as the original Britannia Brewery, whose foundations can be seen along the water course at the boundary of the block. Evidence of the old smithy' is everywhere.

We love the Climate/ Environment!
It is cool in summer and offers a reverse cycle air conditioning on those really HOT days and its warm all winter with the slow combustion fireplace.
It offers open spaces that flow into each other with double glazed doors.
From cosy living/ dining to open sunny kitchen and sun room, it is surrounded on 3 sides with wide verandahs.
The entertainment area offers views of rolling hills and grazing cattle, through the green leafy surrounds of the gardens offering plentiful flowers, fruit and vegetables from the rich soil.
The frogs sing from the water course the year round, birds visit the garden and trees whose autumn colours are gorgeous. There is always sun or shade to sit in, from the wisteria bowen to the studio.
The stone walls promote a quiet atmosphere inside and provide a sense of history, as does the whole town.
