Designing a contemporary showpiece in the dress circle position of a cul de sac in an exclusive enclave, was a rigorous exploration by renowned Cox Rayner Architects to articulate and integrate space and structure into the natural environment.

Step inside and marvel at the result. Three parallel living zones result in a series of flexible, fluid spaces with Spotted Gum, the primary visible timber and pale grey floor tiles to complement. Layers of light give a cherished glow and epitomise the architect's design.

Slide back the banks of lanky floor-to-ceiling glass doors from the capacious gallery-inspired living and dining spaces, also the fully integrated kitchen with its full complement of gas and electric Gaggenau, to reveal a seamless transition to alfresco. Then think Tuscany in the beautiful over-generous, north-facing loggia with pool, enormous made-in-Italy pots, covered entertaining area, fuss-free gardens, towering green feature wall and nature reserve backdrop.

It's easy to be captivated by the slick and sumptuous textures, finishing touches and inspired pieces that meld style with practicality, but there's more. The central staircase with timber beams through the central void is another masterstroke. Adding further drama is a wall of glass also a vertical garden in the courtyard.

The north-facing oversize master suite with its walk-through sensor-lit robe, ensuite with large multi jet spa and walk-in shower, evokes an oasis of calm.

Swathed in natural light is a bathroom separating two large bedrooms and another generous-sized space has the latest wiring making it ideal as a fully functional office or media room.
