This old 1904 community hall and original Sunday school has been lovingly converted into a very special residence. The open plan living provides an instant impact as you enter the building. The vast space oozes period charm with the original honey coloured Baltic pine lining and the big old rustic floorboards. The conversion has maintained the charm of the era and yet added a wonderful artisanal flair with a touch of luxury. The laundry and toilet are separate for added convenience. When re-roofed, the hall was well insulated and with the added double glazing, the enormous space is actually relatively easy to keep warm in the cooler months. A reverse cycle air-conditioner works silently in the background, but the real atmosphere is created when the wood fire is lit. The fire has a wetback system assisting with free hot water, complimenting the solar tube system, which is all backed up with conventional electricity.

Outside, the grounds are low maintenance with a gravel driveway that leads to an old timber barn completing the picture. This makes a good storage shed or workshop facility. Positioned right in the middle of Dover, you are able to walk to the shops for your supplies. Just a bit further on is the pristine Port Esperance Bay, flanked with golden beaches and providing some fantastic boating, fishing, swimming and kayaking opportunities. Dover is the gateway to the Great Southern Tasmanian Wilderness offering some fantastic hiking and natural environment discoveries.
