Our owners share their story of living in this much loved home!
"We lived in the home from 2003 until recent times and loved every second of it. The house is spacious and friendly. It was an easy house to live in. The views of the coast from nearly every room were always a pleasure. It was quite an entertainer as we had parties there before the house was even completed! It has a very sociable vibe, open and welcoming. The house was built for 3 generations and 6 people. It worked very well for us. There were plenty of separate areas for different family members to be - Nanna had her own living area and could close her flat off if she needed, but rarely did. We had the parents retreat area upstairs where we could make a coffee or have a glass of champagne or whatever. It was easy access to the balcony for outdoor sitting, or comfort in the living area. There were also formal and informal areas for entertaining and we made the most of the outdoor area, using it all year round.
The garden and pool are set up for easy care with reticulation and programmed pool cleaner and filtration system. There is not much to do except enjoy it!
Whitfords Beach, across the road, is the animal exercise beach but is also one of the best swimming beaches along this stretch of coast, with beautiful white sand and safe swimming for dogs and people.
There are kms of bike / walking paths along the beach taking you from Mullaloo to Trigg safely. Inland from the house are the parks that extend from Flinders Avenue almost to Whitfords Avenue and these have several lakes and quiet play areas. The oval near the house has cricket nets and lots of space for kicking balls. A bit further up the hill is Mawson Park which has playing fields, play equipment and a lake, as well as BBQs for public use. Our kids used to call it Awesome Park because of the great play area.
The little shopping centre on Flinders Ave is well supplied with supermarket, bread shop. beauty salons for men and women, the liquor store and a good range of medical facilities including the chemist. Whitfords Shopping Centre just fabulous. There is a huge range of dining options and entertaining fun things and to do at Sorrento Quay.
Yes, loved living in the home and had such an amazing lifestyle in such a beautiful location. Now our family have all grown and left and we are retiring, we are moving to the country down south which is also close to our hearts."
