Smiths Road provides easy access to the front entry - it is council maintained and approx. 9km of bitumen road (a further 2km is being built in 2025) , 9 km of good 2 lane gravel road and a final 2km of steeper winding road (passable in a 2 wheel drive, but requires a 4WD during rain). The front of this property runs 900mtr south along Smiths Road to the "locked gate" which is the end of public access. You will have access to the private roads and fire trails beyond this.
The entire block is medium to heavily timbered, Australian Alpine country - with rock and mineral outcrops, several plateau areas, mountain ridges and run off valleys, including the source of 2 creeks (Gossoon and Coorambong).
Limited infrastructure is on this block. The only other road is the Clear Range Fire Trail on the western side, looking down onto the Orroral Valley (1100mtr ASL) - an excellent quality fire trail (maintained by RFS and NPWS) but requires a 4WD detour via Jones Creek Fire Trail. There is very limited fencing.
Wildlife includes lyre birds, kangaroos, wallabies, echidna, wombats, goanna and eagles. Fish the Murrumbidgee River for giant carp or in season murray cod.
Deer, pig, rabbit and goat have been (mostly) cleared from the front eastern section. The western border has permission for Local Land Services & NPWS to perform feral pest control.
