Financing: Purchasing a resort style room like these wont be eligible for any first home buyer grants. In regard to finance if you are borrowing money to purchase in most cases you generally need minimum 50% deposit plus your stamp duty. Many banks see resort rooms as a risk and some banks wont lend on them at all, so generally most buyers who purchase pay the full cash upfront that they already have.
Residing in the property: Your not supposed to permanently live in these resort rooms as it’s within a Resort that is restricted to maximum 90 day stays in any one block for guests or owners, however on the other hand there is no obligation to have the onsite management team rent them out and manage the room for you. Some people do buy them and just use only for themselves for friends and family stays or self manage them or have an agent manage them.
