Winnaleah is 105km from Launceston, 38km from Scottsdale, "the service hub" of North East Tasmania and only 14km from Derby, the home of the world renowned "Blue Derby" Mountain Bike Trails.

According to local Council (Dorset) who track numbers, 30,000 visitors rode the trails last year and approximately 50,000 are expected next year. Tourism is booming in NE Tassie with internationally ranked class golf courses, wineries and MTB trails on our doorstep. There is a growing demand for a variety of tourism related businesses as well as regular town businesses to support the increasing population of support staff working in the tourism industry.
