The church was officially opened on 22 January 1905, with a large crowd attending the dedication ceremony. Over the years, the building has served as a community cornerstone, hosting masses, sacraments, weddings, funerals, and many other celebrations. In the mid-nineties, the church interior was renovated, with fresh paint and new carpets installed. The centenary of the church was celebrated in 2005, and the final Mass was held on 18 August 2024, marking the end of an era for the beloved landmark.
