“PRICE REDUCED - LET'S TALK”
It's only 5 acres (approx) but this one sure packs a punch.
A REVIEW BY AGENT TERRY DEEFHOLTS
My family and I were privileged recently to be able to stay at this stunning riverfront property and the one word common to all 9 who stayed - awesome. It's impossible to truly appreciate the views, swim in the river or bask in the serenity from the photos - only a lengthy inspection (with swimmers) will do. But nothing will beat a morning coffee or afternoon beverage on the deck when you own it.
Located on the pristine water catchment of the Nymboida River, there are 3 buildings in all.
The main house has 2 bedrooms and a massive sleepout, nearly 4m in width, taking up the entire length of the home.
A large open plan kitchen/dining/living area with solid hardwood timber flooring is the focal point of the home. The beautifully crafted blackwood kitchen boasts a large step-in pantry, gas stove/electric oven, dishwasher and plenty of bench space. All seasons are covered with an air conditioner and fireplace.
The same gorgeous timber is used in built-in wardrobes in each bedroom and one in the bathroom.
The generously sized bathroom complete with a large spa bath which appears to be in good working order.
Decks front and back, there are always options for a beverage in the sun or shade as per the season. See the pics for a view from the back deck and you will catch a glimpse of the ever changing and luscious valley.
The laundry can be found in one of two decent Colorbond sheds, as can a second shower and toilet.
One of the sheds, covered in solar panels is carpeted and boasts a second kitchen. It would be ideal as a guest house, teenager's retreat or (as Dewey had it) a top end pool room.
Water supply isn?t a problem here with 3 water tanks (14,000 gallons each) and the ability to pump from the river. Some 30 solar panels with back to grid system help knock the pain out of the power bill and the property is boundary fenced. The septic system was approved in the past 12 months.
The river, some 50m from the house, can be accessed via a path with steps. It is steep in parts but overall pretty easy access for able bodied.
Your short journey to the bank is rewarded with an idyllic section river - fast flowing water in the middle, eddies and water holes on the edges.
A generous portion of conglomerate rock leading into the river defines the riverside picnic area with nice stable ground to stand or sit on.
This section of river is known for it's platypus habitat and one family is said to live on the immediately opposite bank.
Kids can enjoy a swim and work their way through tracks in the privet for that jungle adventure.
Only an inspection will do. Bring your togs (or a fishing rod).
