Mountain & Valley views with the majestic 'Bare Rock' surround the property and can be seen from all aspects. Hiking, Climbing, Cycling, Kayaking & Fishing activities are all near by with world class Mountain Biking also within easy reach of the Fingal Valley.
St Helens, Bicheno & The Bay of Fires; with heaps of free camping, are short drives to the coast. Ben Lomond, Douglas Apsley, Mt William & Freycinet National Parks are all easy day trips along with many waterfalls, rivers & streams, enchanting Old Growth Forests & Alpine Wonderlands.
Being in a rural setting, there are farm animals literally at your back gate! There are Horses, Sheep & Cattle everywhere. Expect to frequently be dazzled by wonderful rainbows, sunrises & sunsets with a spectacular night sky filled with stars thanks to no light polution and some of the cleanest air in the world. It's also an ideal location to grow your own veg, the growing season is long and bountiful thanks to wide open sunny surroundings. The open clear sky is also perfect for satellite communication such as StarLink.
Convenience is nearby too! The township of St Marys is 15mins away with a school, hospital, shops, restaurants, cafes and hotel. Launceston airport is an easy 60min drive, the CBD is 75min & Hobart just over 2 hours. I work in Lonnie and commute 3 days a week and find it easy and quite relaxing (But very much look forward to coming home each evening:).
The house itself is very cosy with all utilities connected including a recently installed 'advanced electric meter', there are 3 good size bedrooms lovely open kitchen living area with gorgeous views from any of the screened aluminium windows. A large wood burner is a focal feature and keeps the cottage lovely and warm throughout winter. There is also a reverse cycle air conditioner 'Heat Pump' installed for those extra cold mornings or when you need to heat the space quickly.
