History behind the architecture:
It is believed this house design was originally entered into The Age RAIA Housing Service Competition of 1968 by architects Graham Whitford and Michael Peck of Whitford & Peck Architects. Their entry was awarded first place in Category. This design solved these problems by composing a home of three distinct volumes, the living zone, family kitchen zone, and private bedrooms and bathing zone. The design here was constructed in rustic brickwork, large timber windows and a metal deck flat roof. It has been constructed quite faithfully to the original design, this was not always the case.
