Have you heard the quote ‘a cabin with plenty of books is better than a story less mansion’? While this property is more of a chalet than a cabin it is not a mansion by any stretch of the imagination. But that said it is a very comfortable and welcoming home and we love the idea of relaxing in front of the fire to read a book while the snow falls on Mt Buller. If you’re more of a ski bunny than a bookworm, you can check the snow conditions from the master bedroom. If it’s looking like a bluebird day, jump out of bed to be on the mountain for first tracks. In summer there are an incredible selection of outdoor adventures on offer too. Amazing walking and riding tracks run beside the Delatite River, which also boasts great fly-fishing and plenty of swimming holes for a refreshing dip. There’s downhill mountain bike trails and some challenging climbs if you’re more into road bikes and formfitting lycra. 4WD and motorbike enthusiasts are well catered for too with a huge selection of tracks to explore in the nearby State Forests.
You might just want to stay home though and enjoy the peaceful setting in the prestigious Alpine Ridge Estate and those incredible mountain and forest views! Native birds fly down to the rest on the verandah rails and the roaming deer and kangaroos love to nibble on the grass in the back garden. This really is a little piece of paradise, ready for you to enjoy with your family and friends in all seasons.
