Possibly the largest timber residence in Kyogle. This large house was built in 1912 by Dr Evans and was designed to include accommodation for not only his family but also his gardener, groom and maid that traveled from England with him. From the long and wide verandah you can see Mt Barney (Qld.) and the Border Ranges. With two separate electricity meters the house is ready for business in the home. There are 7 bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a separate toilet. Downstairs there are three rooms including a bathroom, and a large open area comprising laundry and open space. The covered car port can hold up to six cars. Wheelchair access into a wide hallway leads to the office, or kitchen or lounge room. There is a large sloping back garden with a huge frangipani, camellias, even some rainforest trees; lots of potential.
