This 59.85 hectare (just under 148 acre) property is located 9 kilometres due west of Port Douglas and 40 kilometres by road. Approximately half of the property is tropical rainforest and the balance is open forest.

The Mowbray River flows through the centre of the property and winds its way through the hills via a water fall to the sandy beaches of Port Douglas. Improvements on the property area is a house built of breeze brick and a temporary dwelling (approximately 40x20) and 2 shipping containers on stilts for storage.

There are several unique features on the property some of these are a heritage track (known as the bump track) that was the first road from the coast to the inland opening up the outback. As you enter the gateway you pass over a outcrop of soapstone that is used for carving. 300 metres to the highest part of the block there another outcrop of quartz which is studded with sparkling crystal.

A spring is located at the edge of the forest. A bore has been drilled to a depth of 22 metres with a flow all year round in the 33 years it has never ran dry and has always maintained a constant flow of 1,500 gallons per hour. The water has been tested and papers are available proving the quality. This water can be sold to the general public - making it a money making venture as pure spring water is in demand and people are careful of what they drink.

The property has several kilometres of walking tracks and there are many kilometres of tracks in the area. Wildlife is in abundance with cassowaries ,dingoes, wallabies, tree climbing kangaroos, birdwing butterflies,etc. The property is ideal for bird watching. It also has exotic pencil orchids along with king and queen orchids and a variety of ferns and cycads. This property is free of any encumbrances.

The current house is tenanted and a shed which has been converted and in need of some tender loving care. There is also another house pad already in place should you desire to build again!
