The design concept of separating the living and sleeping areas into two separate pavilions is a stroke of genius. For a beach house designed to accommodate two families with kids, separating the kids when they are playing and the adults when they are socialising works beautifully. There are three main deck areas on the house just great for long lunches and spectacular dinner parties.

The main house has bi-fold and retracting doors on three sides. Over summer when the main house is opened up, it creates a fantastic large entertaining space. In winter, with the doors closed and the fire going, the house is a cosy little cocoon to enjoy a glass of wine and a good book. The two main features of the main house are the galley style kitchen and the dual fronted slow combustion fireplace.

The stainless steel kitchen bench measures over 6m long and easily accommodates three or more people. The kitchen is fitted out with top of the range Blum soft-close drawers and gas strut supports for the top hatches. It has a Bosch oven and cooktop, and an integrated dishwasher.

The Jetmaster dual fronted fireplace stands in the centre of the room. It sits within two polished concrete slabs which create a huge thermal mass to heat up the entire room for many hours after the fire has gone out.

The bunkhouse with two queen sized bedrooms, two bathrooms, a centre bunkroom, and a lockable storeroom, accommodates 10 with comfort and ease.

The Outrigger awnings are a major feature of the house. Visually they create a striking profile and cover the deck area, with the centre awning linking the main house to the bunk house.

Currarong is a quiet, small village on the northern edge of Jervis Bay. Located 2.5 hours drive south of Sydney, you will be enthralled by the beauty of it's beaches, idyllic bays and national parks. Perfect for a bit of fishing, surfing, swimming, snorkelling and windsurfing. Tennis courts are available too. Surrounded by 14 white sandy beaches, Currarong Beach is one of the safest beaches in NSW.
