Will this mean I can't develop multiple dwellings on my lot? The amendment will only change the way multiple dwelling yield is calculated within certain areas of the City. Multiple dwellings can still be approved within residential R40 areas, however in areas subject to clause 5.3.4 of the Local Planning Scheme, the multiple dwelling yield is based on the R40 group dwelling average site area rather than the plot ratio standards as stated in the R-Codes.
