Nestled in the historic town of Bothwell is this heritage listed brick Georgian cottage built in 1847, originally owned by ex-convict Robert Blake who was a renowned pioneer in the area, being a carrier and whose son ran Blake's Brewery.

The cottage consists of four rooms with original pine cabinets flanking each side of the fireplaces and original Blackwood floors.

In the 1980's a two storey barn-like brick extension was added consisting of living room, kitchen, bathroom and a huge master bedroom upstairs.

The Wesleyan Church was built in 1859 on the adjoining block but due to disrepair was demolished in 1903.

Fruit, olive and ornamental trees and a lovely garden now occupy the block, complimenting the charm of the house.
