What's around Owen Street
House description
“An Outstanding Lifestyle On Owen”
A superbly renovated red clinker brick home, located in one of Mitcham’s premier tree-lined streets; that in itself will ensure widespread appeal. Layering upon this a well-considered floorplan that is ideal for comfortable family living, an abundance of quality appointments, an expansive loft space with access to an ensuite bathroom, plus a prime allotment of 959sqm approx. and you’ve got the icing on the cake.
Framed by native gardens, the home offers an inviting entrance hall that flows to a spacious living-dining room. Here, a gas log fireplace, original glass etched doors and a well-placed porthole window create eye catching features that offer both beauty and function. Also located in the front section of the residence are three sizeable robed bedrooms that are serviced by a powder room and a modern bathroom with a storage rich wall hung vanity and a frameless shower. The master bedroom is privately located at the rear, offering garden vistas, a walk-in wardrobe and an attractive ensuite. A
An expansive open plan zone forms the heart of the home, creating a place where the family can enjoy time together, whilst undertaking their own pursuits. The space seamlessly combines a family room, a study spot and a generous dining area that frames a contemporary hostess kitchen with a large breakfast bench, stone benchtops, a feature tile splashback and quality stainless-steel appliances that include a Bosch dishwasher.
Catering to outdoor living is an undercover alfresco deck that is accessible via French doors. This presents the perfect place for quiet relaxation or entertaining, and the chance to admire all that your large back yard offers. There are red brick garden paths that lead to lush grass and manicured gardens, a cubby house with a slide that enhances the child-friendly space, plus a well-tended vegie patch for those who enjoy having an edible landscape. There is also access to an oversized 3 car garage which boasts an ensuite bathroom plus a huge carpeted loft space with a striking attic roofline; this is perfect for a number of purposes that include a teenage retreat, a home-based business, a studio or perhaps guest accommodation. The best part is that you get to choose, based on your needs.
A number of extra features add to the appeal; including gas ducted heating, split system heating/air-conditioning, Spotted Gum floors, high ceilings with decorative cornices, ceiling fans, a fully fitted laundry, a security system, external sunblinds, a watering system and additional off-street parking.
This highly sought-after pocket will continue to delight. You’re an easy walk to amenities such as Mitcham train station, local buses, desirable schools including Vermont Secondary College to which you’re zoned, plus open green spaces at the many nearby parks and reserves. You’re also a short drive to Eastlink, and a variety of shopping precincts and entertainment complexes, including the ever-popular Westfield Doncaster and the recently renovated Eastland.
This stunning property is move in ready and awaits your inspection. Come and see how you can have your cake and eat it too.
