The Commons Hobart is a seven-storey, 9 star, carbon positive, multi-residential building with 30 apartments situated on the edge of Hobart's CBD.

Designed by architects Core Collective and constructed by Vos constructions, it is much more than an apartment development - it is for a community of people wanting to live more meaningfully with each other and the natural world, setting new standards for sustainability.

Constructed of low emission concrete and recycled materials, the building design adopts thermal mass design capturing the natural warmth of the sun, hydronic heating, roof top solar panels, rain water tanks and is double glazed throughout. Carbon is further off-set through certified investment in Tasmanian forests and local renewable energy projects.
3 x electric vehicle charging stations are provided in the basement along with communal storage and 30 bike racks and an NBN connection. The roof top has a communal laundry plus kitchen and meeting place for residents to enjoy with sweeping panoramas of the Hobart city in a natural setting with trees, plants and benches to sit on.

The Commons Hobart apartments were sold by ballot in 2018, the building is nearing completion and titles will issue shortly.
