The Oast House was built around the end of the 1800s and was used to dry the hops which were grown on the farm for many decades.

A beautiful and considered conversion of the hop kiln into a residence was completed in 2010, blending the old with the new to create one of Tasmania's most stunningly unique homes. • Some Sandstone foundations
• The original hardwood beams, floorboards and roof trusses, etc have been restored and left exposed to create a unifying and aesthetically pleasing structure throughout the building
• Hop huts

• The Oast house foundations have been recently underpinned with large concrete slabs which provides a strong base for the structure
• The roof is also only 15 years old
• Most of the weatherboards have been replaced during the conversion however some original boards have been kept as a feature

The established gardens include a native garden, veggie patches and herb gardens. The native gardens is a mecca for birds attracting over 30 species to it every year.
