Area: 352ha - 870ac

Location: "Biwondah" is located approximately 28km north west of Gunnedah and is accessed via the Kamilaroi Hwy, Goolhi road, Francis Studdy Road, Glencoe Road and Shaws Road.

Rainfall: 600mm - 24 inch

Country: Country type comprises a mixture of wilga, myall, box & belah on reddish brown self-mulching clay soils currently developed to dryland farming. Western areas of the property comprise a mixture of box, belah and pine on reddish clay soils currently developed to improved pastures.


Improved Pastures: Sown in 2006/2007 into barley and wheat stubble the pastures are a shotgun mix comprising bambatsi panic, green panic, premier didget, rhodes, consol love, bahia and buffel. Fertiliser has been applied on a regular basis every 2 to 3 years with 40 tonne of Sulphate on farm to be spread.

Cropping: The farming country is operated on a zero till basis and is well suited to both winter and summer cropping. The current rotation includes wheat, chick peas, canola or barley, chick pea, canola in addition to mung beans, sorghum and grazing oats.

Water:
"Biwondah" is developed with an extensive water system. A new bore was drilled in February 2013 and is equipped with a Yanmar diesel Gen Set motor powering a submersible pump. The pump is set at 70 metres down and sits 7 metres off the bottom with a pumping capacity of 5,000L/hour (1,150g/hour). The system is set up to start on a time clock and shut off with a pressure switch.
The bore pumps to an elevated 160,000L (35,000g) tank with approximately 4 kilometers of new 2inch green stripe poly pipe (installed in 30/11/2015). The tank gravity feeds 16 stock troughs through 1.5 inch green stripe poly. The header tank also gravity feeds 5,500gal tank on the dam behind the sheds which equipped with a pressure pump which feeds the garden and toilets and also has a quick fill pump station for spraying (pressure pump can also draw water from the dam). Stock water is also supplemented by 4 x earth dams.
Domestic water is sourced from 4 x rainwater tanks:
- 2 x 22,800L cement tanks
- 1 x 20,800L poly tank
- 1 x 12,500L poly tank
- Total 56,100 Litres
The toilets are on bore/dam water.

Fencing:
"Biwondah" is fenced into 14 farming and grazing paddocks. The grazing paddocks have been developed into a rotational grazing system in order to fully utilise the improved pastures. A central laneway system allows for easy management. Majority of the fencing has been upgraded over the past two years with construction comprising:
- 4 plain & 2 barb ( 1 x hot wire)
- 5 Plain & 2 barb ( 1 x hot wire)
- Ring Lock Netting & 2 barb
