However, it wouldn't take much to restore the family vibe to this spacious home. Downstairs you have an excess of living space to enjoy. A large formal lounge sits at the front of the home, adjoining a study nook which leads into the master bedroom at the rear. This is a huge room with floor to ceiling built ins and an ensuite bathroom. The entry neatly divides the spaces making a statement with a massive staircase. To the left of the entry is a massive open plan living area that combines a family room, dining and large modern kitchen. With ample cabinetry, bench-space, double fridge and a 900mm oven there's enough room for those who cook and those who entertain!

Behind this area is a large laundry room and additional WC. The rear garden is only a small space, very low maintenance. The entertaining all comes off the front with doors opening from the family room out to an undercover area. This front section of the property has been under-utilised and offers a few alternatives. Right now there is room for a small caravan or boat, or parking for several cars. There is also a large 2 car garage and workshop so again, if you have teens with cars there is plenty of space. Alternatively you could fence off an area in front of the house for an entertaining area and/or garden, replacing some of the pavers with lawn. You'll still have room for four cars even if you do this, as there are easily two spaces in front of the garage.

Being on Leach Highway, you do hear the traffic in the front garden, though you are protected visually from the front house. But as the land slopes down to the rear, the noise is softened and inside the house it is surprisingly quiet. Getting in and out of the driveway is also surprisingly easy as the traffic flows in distinct cycles, with the owner even able to time it so he could reverse his boat in when living at the home. This part of Leach highway is before Stock Road so the large trucks don't go past at all.

The general location is fantastic. Straight down the highway to Fremantle, or up the highway to the Freeway in minutes. Or onto Stock Road to head north or south with ease. There is a massive Woolworths and an IGA and BWS in walking distance and the kids can walk to Melville SHS as well. The 502 stops nearby so public transport is easy and Webber reserve is just around the corner. You are also close the the O'Conner business area and Garden City Booragoon. The home has been a good investment with steady returns even in a slow market. But this home has been well built and designed to be a home that is comfortable and very easy to live in. It makes a great lock and leave for those who intend to travel (around Australia at the moment) or for FIFO workers. Add a gate across the drive and it is totally secured.

As the house has been rented there is a need for a little bit of a freshen up in terms of paint and carpets but this would be easily done and it would make it feel brand new in a flash.

If you're looking for a large home, designed for downsizers or potential downsizers with teens, who want to enjoy space without garden maintenance then this home is an excellent solution.
