LOCATION
Watagan Park is part of the Lake Macquarie Local Government Area, located within the community of Cooranbong, 50min north of Sydney (Hornsby exit), New South Wales.
TRANSPORT
Only 7min to the M1 and 8min to Morisset train station, getting where you want to go is easy from Watagan Park. You can be at Central Station in less than two hours or at the end of the freeway in 50min. The Gosford turnoff is only 25min away and if you’re heading north you’ll be at the Newcastle exit in 22min.

Lake Macquarie is Australia’s largest coastal salt-water lake and is twice the size of Sydney Harbour. It’s home to an array of water activities for all families including kayaking, water-skiing, paddle boarding, sailing and the lake has long been alluring anglers with the promise of a bountiful catch. Dora Creek boat ramp is also only a short 10min drive away. Watagan Park is only a 30min drive from the historical Catherine Hill Bay Beach where the Surf Life Saving Club runs Nippers every Sunday morning for the water-baby families. Tucked in the Munmorah State Conservation Area is Frazer Park, a local surf-break surrounded by nature.

The area is also known for its local growers – so you can pick up delicious seasonal fruit and vegetables practically at your doorstep. Avondale Village is only a 2min drive away and has all the basic necessities including; post office, café, grocery and general store, chemist and take-away shop. The town center of Morisset is an 8min drive – within the shopping centers and on the main street you’ll have access to a wide variety of shops including; Coles, Woolworths, banks, cafés, video stores, restaurants, hair dressers, dry cleaners and take-away shops.
