Pawtella (originally named Mount Pleasant) was settled in 1836 and has always been a farming community. It is around a 10 minute drive to Oatlands which has a Medical Centre, District School (Kinder to Year 12), an IGA Supermarket, 2 Hotels, cafes, and more. Hobart is approx. an hour, 20 minute drive and Launceston around an hour, 30 minutes.
