Tamaru was taken up by the owners family in 1957 with Crandee purchased in 1978 by the current owners. The properties are very suitable for prime lambs, wool, sheep, stud stock, cropping, horticulture, aquiculture or most agricultural activities. In the 70's to 80's the properties carried 5 sheep to the acre plus lambs, times shearing 7,000 head with 30 to 32 tonne wool produced annually of around 20 micron and lambs at 17.5 micron. During this time 300 to 400 head of cattle were on the property and stud bulls were sold during the 70's to 90's. Cauliflower's and broccoli were grown in the 90'2 and then from the mid nineties mixed cropping started to offset the low prices in wool, sheep & cattle. Crop yields have been mixed with canola at 2 to 2.5 tph and triticale, barley & wheat averages from 4 to 6 tph over the years.
