Boatsheds (Red Ochre Beach), Dodges Ferry TAS 7173

How often does the opportunity arise to have two conjoined boatsheds up for offer and particularly in such a beautiful location.

This lovely popular beach is renowned for being sought after for the odd boatshed coming available to purchase that alone two joined. They are perfect for the family as you can separate one off with a curtain for the midday sleep for the little one whilst enjoying the comfort and shade in the other one. There is also a small set back at the front of one of them where you could create a mini deck to sit out on and enjoy the magnificent views out over Speck Island right across to the mountain.

You can also sit and keep watch on the children frolicking in the water and building their beloved sandcastles. You will bask in the sun right until it slips down behind the mountain so you can make the most of a gorgeous day and finish off with fish and chips sitting on the beach.

You can walk along to Blue Lagoon Beach on the other side of the rocks, another awesome beach that is very popular among the locals. Both beaches are completely safe for swimming and other activities. Red Ochre Beach is also great to ski from and the fishing and diving around Speck Island has been very consistent over the years for these pursuits. Not to mention of course our spectacular Park/Carlton surf beach, a very popular surfing mecca just around the corner plus the Carlton Surf Club which also hosts Little Nippers, a much loved and popular sport from young children through to teenagers.
