WATER:Three licensed river pumps draw from beneath the sand in the Broughton River from 3 locations. This supply has never run dry although during the recent drought years the irrigation area had been reduced. This was part of the management plan to ensure supply to the mango trees and Lucerne and not due to lack of water. The water licenses cost $50 per license per year and are paid up with the restriction being the total area irrigated and not the amount drawn as long as it is adjacent to Lot 16 (non-transferable).
Two of the pumps are powered by 3-phase electricity and the other is not in current use, both are on timers. All are 50mm pumps, although one has a 100mm license with the majority installed in recent years. The house pump runs at 120PSI supplying 13,000 ga/hr through 100mm PVC underground pipe to outlets. As well as the irrigation it supplies water to the house, sheds and three stock troughs. The river flat pump runs at 90 PSI supplying 6,000 ga/hr through 110mmunderground poly pipe then to 80mm PVC to outlets. The Broughton pump runs at 145 PSI supplying 13,000 ga/hr through 150mm PVC and through 100mm to outlets.

There are 8 stock troughs plus a dam. A bore supplies enough water for stock watering to a 7,500 litre (2,000 gallon) poly tank and trough via a windmill, 3 troughs are supplied from the house river pump. New bore 2400 gln/hr supplies 4 troughs.
