Cooranbong is a town in a suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia, west of the town of Morisset off the Sydney-Newcastle F3 Freeway surrounded by the Watagans National Park.
It lies to the west of Lake Macquarie on the Dora Creek. It is a town which, although it is close to major tourist areas on the Central Coast, has largely side stepped commercial development and remained the home of the Seventh Day Adventists in Australia. It is 120 km north of Sydney via the M1 (the Pacific Highway).
There are a mammoth 92 towns and villages, 29 public boat ramps, 28 public jetties and wharves and seven marina berths around Lake Macquarie, making it the perfect family holiday destination.
