There are 2 water tanks holding 50,000 litres of water. There is also unlimited access to dam water.

Outside there is a second composting toilet, a large workshop (7m x 3.5m), fenced off vegetable garden, a chicken coup and small greenhouse.

To become part of the community there is a membership process which all members must go through. This is not an onerous process and is designed to ensure Goolawah is right for you before committing to become a member. There is no obligation for members to be involved in the community, but for those who wish to there are monthly communal dinners, building projects, music nights, children activities and more.

Due to Goolawah being a haven for wildlife and neighbouring national park there is a no cat or dog policy.
