FARMING COUNTRY
Diamond Downs comprises 1,052* ha (2,600*ac) of developed contoured farming country. Current crops include 566* ha (1,400*acres) of wheat, and 485*ha (1,200* acres) of ratooned sorghum. The balance of the country on the property, being 611* ha (1,511* ac), is grazing country. 133* ha (330*acres) of black soil brigalow country has been grass lands. The balance of the country is made up of natural water ways, headlands and areas of slight timber regrowth. A good body of ground feed is present with the property being de-stocked in January 2016
WATER
The water improvements on Diamond Downs includes 3 dams, the main dam is equipped with a mill and also a mechanical pump to a turkey's nest and reticulated to a trough system. Water is also pumped via the main dam to the homestead. The other two dams include a share dam on the north eastern boundary, and a small open dam on the front cultivation country. The homestead complex has in total 110,000 litres of water storage available.
