Located in Arcadia South a pastoral and agricultural district situated near the Goulburn River.
After the area was opened for farm selection, schools were opened at Arcadia (1877), Arcadia East (1883) and in particular Arcadia South (1889).
This block was the site of the Arcadia South School for 30 years between 1889 and 1919. Now a plaque stands in its' place in memory of the teachers and pupils.
