There is untouched typical inland Mallee vegetation all over. Along the banks of the Warrego River, which transverses the Western and Northern corners of the property, lay River Gums and Lignin.

The block has a gently rise from the North to the slightly higher Eastern end, where the piers and floor of an old homestead remains.

The front of the property (Eastern side) joins to a parcel of Crown reserve land. Access to the property is through the Crown Land which has a current licence in place.

When the fencing was being erected, the current owners discovered that about half a metre down was natural Limestone.

The property is about 500m down the road from the local Warrego Hotel, where you will find free hot water showers straight out of the Artesian Basin. The water is lovely clear and soft, and believed to be all around the region.

Near the hotel is the small village of Fords Bridge, which is made up of about a dozen residences, a tennis court, a hall and a dirt golf course. There is also a runway for the Flying Doctors etc that is close to the Town Centre.

In the rain Big Wet, the river raises over the bottom quarter of the block. The bonus to this though is that the yabbies come out in mass, and the local fauna get a boost. The Major Mitchell Cockatoos also breed and live on the river all year round and are a pleasure to have around.
