The zone permits with consent a range of land uses including all types of residential development (dwelling houses, dual occupancies (attached and detached), multi dwelling housing and residential flat buildings), commercial premises and light industries. Land uses that are prohibited in the RU5 Village zone include: animal boarding and training establishments, industries, intensive livestock agriculture, intensive processing industries and markets.
