One of the earliest settled properties in the area, Invermien was originally granted to Francis Little in 1825. The name is taken from the Gaelic; Inver (meeting) and Mein (waters) as it stands on the junction of the Middle Brook with the Kingdon Ponds. A diverse property suited to any number of agricultural or equine pursuits.

Location: A commanding and private position overlooking nearby farm lands, and the township of Scone. Invermien is located on the southern boundary of Bhima, south west of Scone and within close proximity to all of its services.

Country: Comprising approximately 313.32 hectares (774 acres) Invermien rises from a large area of alluvial creek flats to arable sloping country. A good percentage of the property has been sown down to either cutting lucerne or improved pasture, with the balance being semi arable lower to middle slopes. A productive property with extensive post and rail fencing that is suited to cattle, horses and irrigation.

Water: Enjoying frontage to the Middle Brook and Kingdon Ponds, Invermien is an extremely well watered property. Featuring a 600 megalitre irrigation licence, the property has an augmented 2 well irrigation system that permits most main paddocks to be irrigated. Homestead: A significant heritage listed homestead dating back to the establishment of Scone. Built around a central courtyard, the historic twin gabled homestead is a showcase of the early colonial period, with high pressed metal ceilings, quality cedar joinery, marble fireplaces and an underground cellar. Behind the homestead, the former Scone magistrates courthouse has been converted to a 2 bedroom self contained guest quarters.

Staff housing: One well maintained weatherboard cottage of three bedrooms. Recently renovated and decorated to a good standard, including the installation of a new kitchen. One Hardipank 2 bedroom cottage.

Working improvements: Hay shed, feed shed, skillion storage area and 3 silos. Timber cattleyards and a 12 box stable barn with undercover roundyard and vet crush.
