Location: Glenburnie is located in the favoured Kars Springs area, North West of Scone in the Upper Hunter Valley. Approximately 37 kilometres from Scone, the Kars Springs area is widely recognised as one of the safest and most productive beef cattle areas in the region. In a pristine setting situated along the Liverpool Range, Glenburnie is sure to impress both country and city buyers alike

Topography: The property is situated in undulating foothills and upper land areas of the Liverpool Ranges, with the majority of the property situated at elevations of 400-700 metres and with peaks rising to 950 metres. The property is entirely located on high fertility chocolate and red basalt soils .

Rainfall: It is located in one of the highest rainfall areas of the Scone district with
long term rainfall records showing an average annual rainfall of almost 1,000mm or 40 inches per annum.

Fertiliser history: Its high phosphorus basalt soils only require topdressing with a high sulphur based fertiliser program every 3 years. The property has been top-dressed with a high sulphur based fertiliser at 150 kg/ ha of fertiliser on 5 occasions since 2003 (2003 (half), 2005 (whole), 2007 (whole), 2010 (whole), 2013 (half) and 2014 (half)). Recently, half the property was top-dressed with high sulphur fertiliser in 2013 and the remaining half was done this year, in 2014.

Fencing:Glenburnie is strategically fenced into 35 paddocks to improve grazing management and pasture utilisation. The paddocks are serviced by three large laneways. Fencing is primarily barb and plain wire and there is 100 km's of new fencing over the property.Paddock sizes range from 25-100 ha.

Staffing: Glenburnie is currently run by 1.5 permanent staff, with contractors employed for weed spraying, fencing, servicing tracks, and during peak periods such as weaning and branding.

Cattle Management And Sale: Based on current management practices, Glenburnie will carry approximately 650 to 700 breeders with the addition of 130-140 replacement heifers. Glenburnie has been recognised as breeding some of the area's best beef Angus and Angus Cross weaners. Cattle from Glenburnie, have won the Champion Pen of Angus and Angus Cross Weaners in 2012 and 2013 at the Annual Scone Weaner Cattle Sale.Under favourable seasonal conditions the steer portion are fattened to 400-500 kg.

Glenburnie could also be used as a steer fattening or cattle trading property, if preferred with owner's estimating between 1,000 -1,100 head. Alternatively, a fine wool, or fat lamb operation could be run on the property.

Water: Glenburnie is located in the highest rainfall area of the district with . Frontage to the Wybong, Tyrrell, Redrock and Glenugie Creeks. 14 megalitre irrigation licence from the Wybong.
