An opportunity presents itself for an astute operator to acquire a parcel of arable land adjacent to the Barrier Highway on the south side of Terowie in the mid north of SA comprising approx 962.15 HA or 2377.46 Ac (approx).
It will be offered as one parcel by auction on Thursday October 27 at 2.00 pm at the Whyte Yarcowie Hall, unless sold prior.
The land is predominantly relatively flat, to gently undulating cereal growing country on the eastern side of the Barrier Highway and within 2 km south of the township of Terowie.
Some of the land backs up to, but does not cover, Hiles Lagoon.
There are no improvements, other than fencing and waters, contained in the sale.
Fencing is a mixture of as new cyclone on pine and steel posts to older style plain wire on old pine posts that will need to be renewed in the not too distant future.
Water is supplied by a solar powered, submersible pump located in a well that is approximately 40' deep, and pumping to a (approx 5000 gall) galv tank that reticulates to a number of troughs. The water is such that it could be further distributed around the property with relative ease, if necessary.
Another bore, equipped with a windmill, is currently unserviceable, but the water quality is good. The bore was damaged from flood water several years ago and according to the Vendor, 'needs to be cleaned out'.
