Prenti Downs has been under the control of the Linke family since 1957 and has been consistently improved over the last 30 years with development of waters and access tracks, all waters that have been developed are of good quality and supply.

The cattle from Prenti have obtained a reputation for performing well on either paddock fee or in a feedlot situation and the annual drafts of weaners have been purchased on the property by the same buyer for the last 10 years.

Whilst the area of the lease is 383,510 hectares the boundaries have been drawn to exclude a large area of close to 100,000 hectares in the middle of the lease and the stock have access to an unlimited area to the east which in effect gives the owner of the Prenti Downs lease access to a huge amount of grazing land that is not officially part of the lease.

The homestead complex is set in well established gardens with good lawn areas giving the whole setup a pleasant ambiance. There is 24 hour solar power - 25kva. Prenti Downs has proven itself as a good breeding property with a herd of breeders (approx 3,000 cows) that are well acclimatised to the rangelands and being of quiet temperament making the cattle easy to handle and the progeny easy to settle.

The general muster this year was stopped prior to completion due to surface water and market conditions, so there are still many sale cattle that would be immediately available to the new owner.
